Sue joined us on November 22, 2006. She was my first puppy girl and the cuddliest pup I’d ever loved. Sue would wrap her paws around my neck like a bear cub clinging to a tree. She was a bit of a tomboy, preferring dirt and debris to ribbons and bows. Sue was a good puppy. Her desire to please made her an excellent student, and she was, by far, the most obedient dog I had ever raised.

Sue was completely unaware that she was different than others. She was oblivious to the fact her vision was impaired, so she let nothing stand in her way. Sue ran fast, played hard, and lived life to the fullest. She manoeuvred through the forest at a breakneck speed, nimbly navigating the steep embankments like a mountain goat. Sue was incredibly agile, very athletic, and smart as a whip.

Sue was a happy girl. She was a people pup and was happiest when in the company of one of her humans. She was intensely affectionate with profound love and devotion for her family. Some may have viewed her as a special needs dog, but to us, she was just special. We considered ourselves exceptionally fortunate to be chosen as her family.
