Gideon’s time with us was brief, and our loss immense. The outpouring of compassion during this period was overwhelming. This page is dedicated to Gideon and the kindness he inspired.

All is not lost. Let’s just hope they can find the right antibiotic for his meningitis. If that can be resolved and he does well he may have seizures for the rest of his life that you’ll have to control w oral meds but more likely he’ll seize from time to time and they’ll eventually stop on there own. Puppy brains are tough. My only big worry right now is getting the infection under control. Also, like people, dogs can lose a substantial amount of brain and be normal. Sucks though. Make sure they give him turkey on Thanksgiving! — Mixti C.
